It gets bizarre

In order to avoid the risk of calcium chromate being formed when calcium-containing insulation materials are used, the first companies have started to develop calcium-free insulation systems.

Like any normal business, these products are also presented and advertised on the corporate websites or business platforms.

But this pleases the manufacturers of calcium-containing insulation materials only to a limited extent.

Injunctions and preliminary injunctions are used to try to prevent innovative products from being placed on the market

For example, a supplier of calcium-free insulation systems told me that he had received mail from the legal representative of an insulation material manufacturer in the last few days.

In the letter, which I have received, the entrepreneur was asked to immediately remove the following sentences from his website, as they are considered defamatory:

  • Safety for people and the environment

  • The health of the people who come into contact with our products is close to our hearts.

In advance, an injunction was even sought to remove the reference, "...that the use of calcium-containing insulating materials can lead to the formation of carcinogenic chromates under certain conditions and that calcium-free insulating systems can prevent the formation of these chromium (VI) compounds.

The injunction and restraining order could be fought off, also because there are sufficient references to the formation of calcium chromates when using calcium-containing insulating materials publicly available on the net.

If you would like to have corresponding documents, you are welcome to request them here.

So now there is an attempt to question every word and every sentence.

Should it turn out in the end that there is something to the whole topic after all?

It remains bizarre!
